I'm afraid Patrick is becoming one of those who can never do a perfect program from the beginning to the end a la Sasha Cohen. With that said, he's definitely very talented and certainly has a shot at the medal stand when he nail the triple axels consistently. I can't see him winning the gold at the Olympic though. He still too far away from learning the quads.
Ithink Patrick's components are so good he almost doesn't need a quad. I think he do enough with his feet and his choreography to make up the space between doing and not doing a quad. Also, if he can back load his program with more triples he can really bring in a high score.
