1. She withdraws just prior to Nationals. We get a press conference on how the attempt alone taught her so much about herself, competitive skating, important things in life, yadda, yadda, yadda.
2. She shows up in Spokane ready and is right in the thick of it. I don't think Sasha is going to compete unless she has an equal chance of making the Olympic Team as the other top U.S. Ladies. If she puts a foot on the ice in Spokane expect her to be a contender. In a recent chat with Phil Hersh she DOUBLE confirmed she'd be in Spokane...
U.S. Nationals begins a week from Friday! How exciting!
Here's a rewind to 2006 where she won her only National Title enroute to the 2006 Torino Olympics.

recalling the zayak return to nationals, i would be so moved if sasha came and gave her emotional all, even if it wasn't her technical best. that sort of vulnerability, love for the sport, and willingness to risk ones past glories would slay me.
i wish kwan had done the same. even if kwan had just gone to nationals, to give a formal farewell, and then gave her spot up to a younger girl...i would have eaten that up! bah!
