Evan continues his reign atop the leaderboard, winning the top spot for the second week in a row for his Tango. He's really pulling this off Kristi Yamaguchi style! In fact, Kristi was in the audience giving him a stamp of approval with a hearty round of applause.All the competitors received two sets of scores for performance and technique, Evan garnering 52 out of 60 points. Bruno commented on Evan's performance, "Strong. Powerful with a hint of catlike arrogance." Carrie Ann said "Perfect blend of artistry and technique."
But...isn't there always a but...
While Evan is producing technical, solid, judge impressing programs...he is still lacking a natural spark and connection with the audience...sound familiar?
This week, while he produced the best dance, it wasn't necessarily the crowd favorite. I think that Pamela Anderson took that prize with an elegant and sophisticated Rumba. It wasn't technically the best, but it had soul. If Evan can figure out how to not only dance the best but sell it the best, he'll for sure to be the one to beat!
But what Evan did was more than enough to keep him and Anna safe. In the end, it was soap star Aiden Turner that bit the dust after several weeks of sub par performances.

I disagree with you Aaron on Pam's rumba. Compared to the other rumbas that were performed on Monday, Pam's was the best, both performance and technically. Nicole's, even though she got higher scores, had flaws, a lot more than Pam's
I'm ballroom dumb and I have to go by what the judges score and they scored Evan higher than Pam.
But...I do think she had the best performance on the night so there is probably truth to what you say.
Oh no definitely but the problem is that you can't compare the two because they're two different dances, one's a Smooth/Standard, the other a Latin/Rhythm. Remember what Pam did and then compare it to Evan this week when he does the Rumba. Then you'll be able to compare.
